Here are Setharial's relationship status with all of the Black Wings and other characters that he met on his journey.Altan Dotharl: Setharial's mentor and father figure. Their relationship is something that Seth cherises fully. Even if Altan is no longer of this realm, Seth still have hope that he is alive somewhere.A'Lora Dawn: A'lora and Seth both shared many missions together. They have a sibling-like relationship that was emphasized by the fact that Altan took them under his wings as mentor and father.Alexander Wayferer: Alexander and Seth have a friendly rivalry that wasn't always so friendly. From Enemies to Friends. Still Alexander hasn't forgot that Seth broke his favorite bow when the Viera joined the Black Wings.Blazing Sun: An Older member of the Black Wings. He see Seth as a Nephew. Seth appreciate his insight on how to run the mercenary band.Jorak Wolfblood: Altan's right hand man. He wasn't sure about taking Seth in when they first met. Now the two are on great term. He was the first one to express his want for Seth to become the leader after Altan's last mission.Alice Deschamps: This Elezen and Seth don't often see eye for eye on multitude subjects, yet the Viera appreciate her bluntness and insight during the Black Wings meetings.Zoran Javasch: Zoran is fairly new to the Black Wings. Seth and him mostly only interact when the Hrothgar requires a job. Yet, the two of them appreciate Legends and Myths of this world. Maybe it will help their relationship to grow.Mogghul: Altan's left hand Moogle. The now Coinkeeper act as a guardian to the young Viera. Both of them have a unique relationship, where they often get on each others nerves and will blow their frustration infront of everyone. Yet at the end of the day, they both will share their favorite bottle of wine.Shina Ecclair: Seth met Shina on her first job as a freelancer adventurer. The Viera took a dagger for the Miquo'te when things went south after another mercenary group betrayed them. Ever since, the two have grown to be close friends. He often ask Shina to join them on jobs, even if she isn't a Black Wings on paper, he believe she is one in her heart.Iria Felz: Shina's little sister. Seth often was asked by Shina to look over the Au Ra while she was gone on distant jobs. He appreciate her company and find her manners quite cute.Natalia Falvel: Seth met Natalia while on a job in Limsa Lominsa. Their meeting ended with them discussing for hours. Now Natalia is part of the Black Wings and the two of them have a sibling-like relationship. They often try to make the other the butt end of a joke.D'rannha Yaiki: Seth's first real pupil. The Viera was surprised by her wanting to follow the Path of the Dark Knight on her own volition. He wasn't sure about his own capacity has a teacher, but seeing her fast progress and her eagerness to keep going under his teaching makes him proud. He sees a lot of himself in her. He is often seen ruffling her hair. A small gesture of affection that he enjoy alot.Bastion Vorst: Seth's second pupil. The Ishgardian born Hyur had clear and different reasons to follow the Path. Seth appreciated that and decided to again, break his oath to take in Bastion under his wings. The quick climb into the Path by Bastion often worries Setharial, as he believes the hyur may forget the fundamentals if he reachs the submit too quickly. Beside that, he believes him and Bastion are made from the same cloth, they just have a different way of showing it.Saraneia Dotharl: Altan's biological daughter. The Viera suspected that his mentor and father figure had children of his own, yet never had the chance to meet them before. Saraneia left the Steppe to search for her father. She joined up with the Black Wings by luck and fate as she met friends of Setharial on her way to Aldenard. The Viera and Xaela quickly grew fond of each other. As if they were always brother and sister.Colette Arkus: Colette's forwardness and attitude left quite the impression on the mercenary captain. After an impressive duel, the two felt something connecting them, a bond was already forming. Ever since the Hyur and the Viera have developed important feelings for one another. Their passion like a Wildfire that cannot be contained. To say that Setharial loves his new flame is to underestimate the strength of his feeling for Colette.
A'Lora Dawn
Past: A'Lora Dawn is a sun seeker miquo'te only by blood. Known as A'Lora Fhey by her tribesmen, Her heart was never with their traditions for as long as she can remember. After a long argument with her sire that ended in a bloody fight, the young seeker ran from her home. While searching for food she was attacked by bandits, only to be helped by a white haired Viera. Once the bandit repelled, the Viera brought the Miquo'te to his encampment. It was then that A'Lora met the Leader of the Black Wings, Altan Dotharl. On that fateful day, the young seeker fully left behind her old life and joined the Black Wings.Present: A'Lora is now Setharial's right hand woman. Her and the Viera run the Black Wings together like siblings having taken the family business. Though Setharial is often referred as the leader by the members, those in the know also see A'Lora as an equal of his. Her skills with knives has earned her the title of "A'Lora The Silencing Blade" among the Elite members of the Black Wings.
Alexander Wayferer
Past: Alexander is a Midlander Hyur born to a common folks family. The young Alexander always dreamed of becoming famous for his archery skill. His father always told him that he was born under the right star to be the best hunter of their village. That was until during a nightmarish night, his village was attacked by an organized bandit gang. They burned and torn the place asunder. The young archer was frozen by fear at the sight of his friends and family being taken away by these bandits. He remained hidden for days after these events, in the ruins of his home. Then came passing by a group of Mercenaries. Alexander having nothing to lose, shown himself to the mercenaries and asked for help. Their leader, Altan Dotharl listened to the pleading Hyur and accepted to help him under one condition. The condition being: To Join the Black Wings Mercenaries. The Young Hyur accepted, as vengeance was the only thing on his mind then.Present: With his family and friend avenged and the Black Wings having a new leader in Setharial, Alexander took the position of Scout Master of the Black Wings. Often he is asked by those that learn of his story if he ever regretted accepting Altan's offer and with a smile, The Hyur always answer that without it, he would be without a family. His deed among the Black Wings has earned him the Nickname of "Lone Wanderer", he often laugh at it, as he never feel alone among the Black Wings.
Blazing Sun
Past: Blazing Sun was a rising star at the Colosseum in U'ldah. A life he was made for, many of the bidders kept telling him. The Hellsguard on the other hand, wanted to do something different with his life, to use his combat skills for a better cause than to make the Richs Richer. While on a day off, Blazing Sun overheard some passerby talking about a strange group of adventurers being in the City, the group composed of a Highlander, an Au Ra and a Moogle piqued Blazing's curiosity. He found the group of adventurers enjoying a drink at the Quicksand. The Roegadyn decided to introduce himself to the group. This marked the beginning of Blazing Sun's new life as he left behind the Colosseum to join his new friends on their adventures.Present: Blazing Sun is one of the four founding members of the Black Wings. His skill with the sword and shield made him known as the "Fortress" while on the Battlefield. Upon Setharial's appointment as the new Leader of the Black Wings, Blazing was given the positions of Instructor for the new recruits. When not training the new recruits, Blazing Sun can be spotted taking care of the Mercenaries's Chocobos. He loves theses birds.
Jorak Wolfblood
Past: As a younger man, Jorak was wild at heart. He would head into the Black Shroud to hunt beast twice his size, in hope of conquering maiden's heart with his tales and exploit. After trying multiple time to impress in such a way, Jorak gave up and decided that he would need to win a duel against a known Swordsman. The Highlander then headed out, searching for well known adventurers and would request them in duel. Yet, many of them refused his requests, until he met a young Au Ra man traveling with a moogle. Jorak noticed the large chuck of Iron this Au Ra called a sword and requested him in duel. Jorak expected a refusal, but the Au Ra accepted, yet under one condition, if the Au Ra were to win, the Highlander would have to help him on a job he had picked up a few hours ago. Wolfblood accepted has be believed he would never lose. He lost. Yet, the job afterward awaken something in the Young Wolfblood, a pride he never had, since then Jorak became Altan Dotharl's traveling companion.Present: Jorak is one of the Four founding member of the Black Wings. His fury with an axe is often referred as a Cyclone of Chaotic energy. When the Black Wings found themselves without a leader, many looked up to Jorak to take the spot. He refused to do so and offered the proposition that Setharial takes the position of Leader. Nowadays Jorak is helping Blazing Sun with the training of the new recruits. He is also the one that came with the idea of an actual place to call home at the end of the day. Thanks to him, The Black Wing HQ became something real.
Alice Deschamps
Past: Alice joined the Black Wings in a moment of need. She never discussed the reasons she had to join the mercenaries but Jorak and Blazing believes the Elezen wanted to escape a life that was paved for her. Something that she was raised to do, not something she wanted. Other members like A'Lora and Setharial believe she might have joined because of Altan and his way with words. Either way, the elusive Elezen decided to leave her past behind and let her journey with the Black Wings be her new life style.Present: Alice unlike many of the Black Wings is quite stealthy even in plain sight. Which has it's advantages and inconvenient, but because of her talent, Setharial appointed her to Spy Master of the Black Wings, yet the Elezen disliked the title and prefer saying that she is an informant. She still hold a grudge against her new leader and take all the occasions she can have to show it.
Zoran Javasch
Past: Young Zoran was a gunbreaker in training when the city of Bojza fell during Garlean occupation. His mentor and himself survived only by being away from the city at the time of the incident. His mentor devastated by the news of the city left the trainee behind. Zoran with nothing but some tomes on the art of Gunbreaking and a training blade made due. During a job he took for some food, the Hrothgar was set to confront the Black Wings Mercenaries. Setharial noticing the Hrothgar hesitation to fight proposed a parley. Zoran handed over what he was protecting to the Black Wings and they took him under their wings.Present: Zoran being the only Gunbreaker of the Black Wings hold a special position has a trainer. Being himself still unsure of his own skills, becoming a teacher to new gunbreakers made him anxious. Yet, through all of this, Zoran is proud of himself and his students. Many of the Black Wings recruits often refers to him as 'Professor'.
Mogghul The Coinkeeper
Past: Mogghul of Moghome also known as Mogghul The Pom-Hammer or Mogghul The Pom-Guardian, was exiled for his crimes against his community, which included the stealing of Kupo Nuts and the usage of sacred relics to steal even more Kupo Nuts.While away from his home, the Moogle met an Au Ra that could understand him. The Two became quick friends and went around adventuring and taking odd Jobs. This was the beginning of Altan Dotharl and Mogghul's friendshipPresent: Mogghul was one of the Four founding members of the Black Wings. Now with Altan gone and his pupil taking over as the leader of the Mercenaries, Mogghul decided to store his hammer and become the young leader's advisor and guardian. Many question how the Moogle became the Coinkeeper and Quatermaster of the Black Wings, yet those in the know are aware of the Moogle capacities and abilities. A good Bottle of wine and the Moogle might tell you a story or two about any members of the Black Wings. Kupo!
